Flowers = Self Care

There’s a new flower initiative that’s all over social media right now and it’s right up our alley! It’s called “That Flower Feeling” and it was created by CalFlowers.

Note: This is not sponsored - I just really love this campaign and wanted to let everyone know about it!

The goal of “That Flower Feeling” is to get more Americans enjoying more flowers more often by pushing flowers into the culturally relevant “self care” space through a funny, edgy, shareable campaign called ‘Flowers. Self care made easy.’

Click here for their hilarious video about why flowers are the best form of self-care out there.

On their site, they share that flowers trigger dopamine and serotonin (our happy emotions) and that just having them in the same room as you will improve your mental and emotional health. We know that’s true from first-hand experience, right?!

That Flower Feeling is working with influencers in the flower and wellness space to spread the word that we should all be enjoying the benefits of flowers on a daily basis. Check out #thatflowerfeeling on Instagram for over 700 posts about the campaign.

CalFlowers is looking to create an annual marketing fund that will support ongoing marketing to increase flower consumption in the U.S. market. I really love that this campaign supports everyone in the floral industry - from farmers to florists and everything in between.

Flowers really do make the world a happier place, don’t you think?
